Come out of Westbury onto the A350 road to Trowbridge. Immediately after you pass under the railway bridge and the road turns to the left, you
need to turn right into Coach Road. This is signposted for the Cement Works and the White Horse Country Park. BE VERY CAREFUL HERE.
You need to take the middle lane to make the right hand turn but it is difficult to negotiate because of high speed traffic coming
onto you from the left hand bend in the A350 main road.

(Obviously, if you are coming from the Trowbridge direction, it is a safer turn off to the left just where the A350 main road makes a sharp turn to the right )

As you turn into Coach Road, about 100 yards ahead, there is a sharp turn to the left into the Cement Works. You now need to to take the little lane to the right that passes under a small railway bridge. Once again, take care here because it is difficult to see traffic emerging from the Cement Works until you are right on the junction. Interestingly, the minor road to the right under the little railway bridge is the continuation of Coach Road, and the major road becomes the private entrance to the Cement Works. Be careful at this junction because there are a lot of heavy freight lorries entering and leaving the Cement Works.

Immediately (and I do mean immediately!) after passing under the railway bridge, now turn left onto the access road for the White Horse Country Park. Proceed at 20MPH all along the access road, slowly rising above the railway line, giving way when necessary on the single track road until you come to the main tarmacced car park at the end. Now you have a choice, either park here and walk into our club site, or else turn sharp right just before the tarmac area onto the gravel track that brings you into our site.

Here is a Google Map reference for the area, but at the time of writing these notes, the aerial photo is out of date and does not show either the WWSME track or the access road leading into the White Horse Country Park, although it does show the White Horse Country Park buildings just south of the Cement Works on the other side of the railway line. The road that connects the Cement Works to the White Horse Country Park over the railway line is no longer there because it has been replaced by the access road!

HOWEVER, if you go onto the larger scale version of the Google Map, and use the little yellow man for the Google Street View, you can practice following the above directions and even the entrance to the White Horse Country Park and its access road are there in full view.

(Ed's note ... the above explanation seems somewhat confusing and unhelpful!)
